Sunjay Kapur was a distinguished investor and influential leader in the automotive and manufacturing industries, bringing over two decades of expertise to his pivotal role at Future Flight Global (FFG). As a key investor, Kapur supported FFG’s mission to advance sustainable air mobility technologies, leveraging his extensive background in venture capital, corporate strategy, and operational excellence. His strategic investments and insightful guidance were integral to funding FFG’s innovative initiatives and global expansion, aligning perfectly with the company’s vision of reshaping global transportation through electric and hybrid aviation solutions.

Prior to his involvement with FFG, Kapur served as the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar), where he spearheaded the company’s growth into a leading global automotive systems and components manufacturer. Under his leadership, Sona Comstar expanded its global footprint, enhanced its research and development capabilities, and forged strategic partnerships with premier automotive OEMs worldwide. Kapur’s ability to blend technological innovation with strategic business practices transformed Sona Comstar into a trusted partner in the automotive industry, known for its quality, reliability, and cutting-edge solutions.

He served as Deputy Chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region (2024–25) and Chair of the CII Europe Committee (2023–24). Additionally, he contributed to the Governing Board and Council of the CII-VLFM (Visionary Leadership for Manufacturing) Programme, the Advisory Board of CII-Triveni Water Institute, and the CII Task Force on Global Value Chains (GVCs). His leadership roles within the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and his mentorship of the Young Business Leaders’ Forum (YBLF) at ACMA underscored his dedication to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders.

An alumnus of the University of Buckingham, Kapur further honed his strategic acumen through executive education programs at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School, MIT, and the Indian School of Business in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. His educational pursuits, combined with his hands-on experience in managing and advising diverse enterprises, equipped him with a multifaceted perspective essential for driving innovation and sustainable growth. Having managed the company’s entire operations as Managing Director prior to his appointment as Non-Executive Director, he brought an unparalleled level of continuity, insight, and strategic oversight to Sona Comstar and the wider ecosystem of industry associations he supported.
